interactive sparks

Reactive light installation for the Osram Seven Screens at the Osram headquarter at Mittlerer Ring, Munich.
The traffic on the street is tracked in real-time; each vehicle creates a spark which moves across the screens. The Waves in the lower part of the display represent the amount of traffic in the past few minutes. The installation conveys the idea of energy and movement translated it into a visual representation. More information here

Blinkenlights: Documentation video of the “Blinkenlights” light installation at the “Haus des Lehrer” (House of teacher) building fassade in Berlin by Chaos Computer Club way back in 2001. Besides creating and uploding animations through an authoring tool, two people could play PONG with their mobile phones as game controllers.

Duality was created for a new development site in the center of Tokyo. Compared to the traditional “art in public space sculptures” the goal was to design an interactive installation that responds to its location in terms of the content and physically to the passers by. More information here.

BIX is a matrix of 930 fluorescent lamps integrated into the eastern Plexiglas facade of the Kunsthaus. Through the possibility to individually adjust the lamps’ brightness at an infinite variability with 20 frames/second images, films and animations can be displayed. More informations here
