Carlos Smaniotto Costa
CARLOS SMANIOTTO COSTA (PhD) holds a diploma degree in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning and a PhD degree in Urban and Landscape Planning from the Leibniz University Hanover/Germany. He is professor of Landscape Design and Urban Ecology in Masters and PhD programmes in Urban Planning at the Lusófona and member of its Interdisciplinary Research Centre for Education and Development, where he is the coordinator of the research unit on Territorial Studies. He has been working in different research projects with different issues but all centred in sustainable urban development and transforming cities in more liveable spaces. He has several publications in professional journals in Portuguese, German, English, and Italian.
