Short biography: 

Paschalis A. Arvanitidis (MEng, MLE, PhD) is an Assistant Professor of Institutional Economics at the Department of Economics (University of Thessaly) and a visiting professor of Urban Economics and Development at the Department of Planning and Regional Development (of the same institution). He is an engineer (graduate of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece) and an economist (MLE and PhD at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland) with specialisation on institutional economics, urban and regional economics and real estate. His recent research interests include institutional economics with emphasis on the analysis of the commons and of social capital. Since 2004 he has participated in many EU and nationally funded research projects. He is the author of a research monograph recently publish by Routledge, co-author of two other books and he has published a number of papers in journals and collective volumes.
