Roberto Pierdicca received the Master Degree in Building Engineering and Architecture from Polytechnic University of Marche with a thesis entitled "Notre Dame du Haut a Ronchamp: Storia Rilievo Struttura”. Since November 2013 is in the PhD School at Polytechnic University of Marche, Department of Informatics Engineering. The research activity is Cultural Heritage Digitization, Mobile Technologies and Development, Augmented Reality, Ambient Intelligence and Geographical Information Systems. He published more than 25 articles and papers on international journals and refereed conferences.
My research interest is on a multidisciplinary approach among geomatics techniques and computer science approach.
In particular I deal with virtual reconstruction of cultural heritage goods and also with their exploitation with novel visualization techniques (Web-based, mobile-based, etc.). In particular my focus is on Augmented Reality application for both outdoor and indoor environment, finding new solution to exploit this technology. Further, other research interests are on ambient intelligence designed for monitoring and classification purposes, also in this case for both outdoor and indoor scenario.
