Conference Smatness – between discourse and practice

Carlos Smaniotto Costa participated between 15 - 17 November 2018 in the 15th AHRA (Architectural Humanities Research Association) International Conference organized by the Department of the Built Environment of the Technical University of Eindhoven / The Netherlands. Centred on "Smatness – between discourse and practice" the conference was a forum to update on implications of data to build more sustainable and people-centred cities.
Backed by the CeiED international projects Cyberparks - Fostering knowledge about the relationship between Information and Communication Technologies and Public Spaces (www.cyberparks-project.eu) and C3Places - using ICT for Co-Creation of Inclusive Public Places (H2020 / JPI UrbanEurope, www.c3places.eu), Carlos Smaniotto organised and chaired jointly with Dr Georgios Artopoulos, The Cyprus Institute, Nicosia / Cyprus, the session Accessing Data Analytics: Urban Commons as City Smartness which attracted great interest of participants.
