Short biography: 

Michael Nagenborg is an assistant professor for Philosophy of Technology (tenure-tracked) at the Department of Philosophy at the University of Twente. He holds a doctoral degree in philosophy (University Karlsruhe, Germany). His doctoral thesis has been on Privacy and ICT. From 2007 to 2013 he has been a member of the Research Centre for Security Ethics at the International Centre for Ethics in the Sciences and Humanities (University of Tübingen, Germany).
In 2013 he has been reelected as board member of the International Society for Ethics and Information Technologies (2014-2017). In 2014 he became the Managing Director of the 3TU.Centre for Ethics and Technologies.

Research interests: 

Philosophy of Technology (especially: urban technologies), Application-oriented Ethics (especially: Information- and computer ethics; surveillance and privacy).
